I have been constructing sculptures with dead sticks and broken branches retrieved in my yard or Boston neighborhoods after storms or as a result of disease. I treat them with AquaResin which protects and seals the surfaces, giving them a slightly milky tinge. The elements are joined with knobs of Apoxie Sculpt, creating an awkward geometry that reaches, twists and overlaps but is never symmetric.
